flight back is in 14 hours. only 14 hours left in chilly japan with all the good food and the glorious trains! hahhahaa. and guess what. i'm spending most of that... SLEEPING! :D hahhaha. best right!
anyway. this whole trip has made me love so many things about japan. the food, the blend of the old and the new, the people (to a certain extent), the weather!
my takebacks from this trip:
1. the emperor really doesn't like my family! can you imagine every temple/castle/palace that we TRIED to visit was closed! hahahha. even the time when my parents went early, they closed the gates cus there was some function. lols. it was just not meant to be.
2. japanese kids are really cute! <3 i'm serious! really! but to tell you the truth, the kids in the osaka area are much cuter than those in tokyo/narita. but somehow they dont seem to turn out really pretty/handsome when they grow older. ooh. and i realised that japanese girls CANNOT live without their makeup! not one girl is without makeup. 90% of them wear boots too! and the guys dont turn out that well. (they're short too!)
3. the food here is awsome! sushi, sashimi, bento, udon, ramen, teppanyaki, takopachi... you name it, they've got it! :D (of course there's macs too, which we somehow HAD to eat) you'll never go hungry here. ooh. and we had cup noodles for dinner last night. just for the sake of it. these are the kinds of things that you HAVE to do/try in japan. hahhahaa. supermarket dinners are superb! i think we had that like for 4 nights. yummy! :D the coolest/most unique thing i tried here? sea urchin sushi! :D it was awesome! kinda dubious at first but cool nonetheless. everything here is sooo fresh. they serve you like fresh sushi everyday! we queued for about 2 hours for the sushi but it was SOOOO worth the wait. (thank goodness da jie's friend was around to show us the cool places to eat!)
4. shopping is super duper depressing here. ): everything is uber ex. but today, once we got over all the prices and got down to business, i think we cleaned almost all our money out! hahahhaa. i got presents for everyone! :D and myself too! we spent mostly on like clips and hair assessories. cus they were just about the only things that we could afford and were reasonably priced. my sister went crazy with the cute stuff here. its quite amusing! hahhahha.
5. tv here is lousy. well, knowing me and teevee, we are partners. inseparable! hahahhaa. :D anyway. the first hotel was quite okay. cus we had like super drama and the cinema. which have decent english shows. the second one was lousy ttm. the only english channels were like bbc and cnn. landiao ._. but, i am happy to announce that today, the last night in japan... there is AXN and FOX! woohoo! ((((((((:
